What it actually does
Custom meeting fields are questions attached to a meeting. There are two kinds. Internal fields are for reps: when they book a meeting they fill in things like the agenda or who's attending from the buyer's side, and prospects never see them. Booking page fields are for buyers: when someone books time through your public booking page, they answer the questions you set.
Either way, the answers can sync to Salesforce, so your meeting data arrives complete instead of being chased down later.
Who it's for
Admins set up the fields. Reps and buyers fill them in. RevOps reports on them.
Why it matters
Better context before every meeting, and cleaner meeting data in your CRM.
How it's grown so far this year
FEB
Internal meeting fields that reps fill in when booking, with Salesforce sync.
MAY
Every field type, including currency, percentages, dates and picklists, plus validation in the Google Calendar extension.
AUG
Booking page fields, so buyers answer questions when they book themselves.
How to set it up
Create a field
Go to Administration › Tools › Meetings › Custom calendar fields and click Add Configuration. Set the label, field type and whether it's required. You can also add a "Description for AI" so Outreach's AI understands what the field means.
Put it on your booking page
For a question buyers should answer, set the field's visibility to Public Calendar, then save. Buyer answers are labeled "From public calendar."
Send answers to Salesforce
Go to Administration › Integrations › CRM › Calendar Event mapping and click Add mapping.
