Deal Agent: the AI that keeps your opportunity fields honest

After every call, Deal Agent suggests the CRM updates reps forget, or just makes them. Since August it adds to their notes instead of overwriting them.

Shipped Feb · Apr · Jul · Aug 2026 RepsManagersRevOps

What it actually does

Deal Agent listens to what's said on your calls and recommends updates to your opportunity fields: next steps, pain, decision process, loss reason, seat count, whatever you tell it to watch. That includes the fields for your sales methodology, like MEDDPICC or MEDDIC.

For each field you decide how much to trust it. Some fields update automatically, some only fill in when they're empty, and some wait for the rep to approve. Deal Agent also writes a Deal Summary of each deal's health, risks and next steps. By design it stays quiet unless it hears clear evidence.

Who it's for

Reps accept the updates, managers get accurate deals, and RevOps sets the rules.

Why it matters

Your CRM stays current without reps doing data entry, which feeds forecasting, alerts, coaching and Omni.

How it’s grown so far this year

FEB
Opportunity field updates. Suggestions or automatic updates on some opportunity fields, including methodology fields, plus Deal Summaries.
APR
Slack and in-app notifications. Accept, reject or edit suggestions in Slack. Admins can customize deal summaries.
JUL
New field types. Single-select picklists, numbers and percentages.
AUG
Five upgrades. Append or prepend to text fields, Microsoft Teams notifications, backfill from past calls, posting to a deal's Slack channel, and one-click Economic Buyer and Champion.

How to set it up

  1. Pick your sales methodology

In the side panel, go to AI Agents › Deal Agent › Sales methodology. Choose MEDDPICC, MEDDIC, Identify Pain & Champion, or your own custom method, then map each part to an opportunity field.

  2. Set rules for custom fields

For custom fields, write short guidance on what Deal Agent should look for, and pick a rule: update automatically, update only if the field is empty, or update only after the rep confirms.

  3. Choose the fields to watch

Under Opportunity fields, add the fields Deal Agent should track. Next Steps is on by default. For each, choose the field type (text, picklist, number, percentage or Prospect) and how text gets updated: add to the start, add to the end, or replace.

  4. Customize deal summaries

Go to Agents & AI › AI Summaries › Opportunities and edit the three built-in summaries for open, won and lost deals.

  5. Link a deal's Slack channel

Anyone who can edit the opportunity can link a public Slack channel from its side panel or overview page.
