What it actually does
When you write a first email to a prospect, Smart Email Assist can draft it for you. Since July 2025 you choose what it works from: up to three pieces of buyer data, such as signals or account and prospect fields, and one piece of seller content from your Seller Content Hub.
You set the tone and reading time, then pick from three drafts.
Who it's for
Reps, SDRs and AEs writing first-touch emails. Marketing and admins look after the seller content.
Why it matters
AI drafts that are relevant and on-message, instead of generic.
How it grew in 2025
MAY
Meeting follow-ups drafted in Outlook from Kaia recordings, and the Seller Content Hub.
JUL
Buyer data and seller content pickers in Outreach and Gmail.
AUG
The same pickers in Outlook, plus a small add-in fix.
How to use it
Add a prospect
Start a first email, either a one-off email or an email task, with a valid prospect in the To field. The buyer data options only appear after that.
Pick buyer data
Choose up to three inputs from Signals, Account Fields and Prospect Fields. Only fields with data are shown.
Pick seller content
Choose one piece of seller messaging. Outreach preselects one based on persona, and you can change it.
Set tone and length, then pick a draft
Choose a tone and read time, then pick one of the three drafts.
