What it actually does
Field-level governance lets admins decide, for each profile, whether a field on an account or prospect is hidden, view-only or editable.
In November, Salesforce field-level security started carrying over to Outreach, and opportunities got their own governance settings.
Who it's for
Admins, RevOps and security teams.
Why it matters
Sensitive fields stay protected, and fewer people can make bad edits.

Set each field
